Obtaining a Personal Injury Expert Witness
Physicians Medical Review in-house physicians carefully screen each potential academic expert regarding his or her medical background, expertise, subspecialties, and experience. The in-house physicians may also testify during trial and settlement negotiations as a non-treating medical expert.
When a PMR in-house physician is satisfied that the appropriate medical expert has been identified, that physician is then referred directly to the personal injury attorney. Before the referred physician provides medical expert witness testimony — or any other service — the attorney is provided with their curriculum vitae and other information. This allows PMR’s attorney clients to analyze physicians’ credentials and relevance to their cases.
